We encourage you to dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes as the prison can get chilly, especially at night and during the winter, and involves walking in dark areas.
Please bring a small torch, a fully charged phone or camera and extra batteries. We ask that you do not bring head torches.
Yes, there is onsite parking at the prison (SY1 2HP), charged at £5.00. You can pre-book or pay on the day (subject to availability). On arrival, please confirm your parking with your booking confirmation at the Visitor Centre. There is additional car parking opposite the prison, accepting card payments (SY1 2HP) and at the train station pay & display, which is located 50 meters away from the prison entrance on Howard Street (SY1 2LF).
For the enjoyment of you and your fellow guests, we strongly advise against consuming alcohol or drugs prior to or during the event. However, should you wish to enjoy a single glass with your evening meal, this is acceptable. Please be aware that anyone deemed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be unable to participate in the event. In such cases, no refunds or alternative dates will be offered.
Yes, you will have the opportunity to use and familiarise yourself with the Ghost Hunting Equipment provided, such as EMF Readers, Crystal Pendulums and the Spirit Board.
